
A film based on the novel by Abel Tyveet
The film opens on a Montmartre bistro terrace, where Janis and Laurent have lunch. A couple in their early forties; Laurent seems anxious whereas Janis softly fixes her make up before walking down the bathroom under the suspicious look of Laurent. At last Janis stands alone and takes the opportunity to run away through the back door. She runs and grabs a taxi to reach the airport. She flies away to Moscow where Alla, her old girl friend welcomes her in her abandoned theatre.
Kirill an officer from the FSB is arguing with his wife, a brilliant attorney, and then leaves to meet his sister Alla in a nightclub where Janis is performing a jazzy song on stage. Kirill falls in love with Janis, the sensual singer feels also attracted to Kirill, they both find love but Kirill realizes that his new girlfriend was actually a man a year before, a disastrous situation for an FSB officer, his ex wife Irina will take the opportunity to spread the information into his family and his working environment. The officer is propelled into a nightmare…
In Paris, Laurent continues his quest to find the person who has become as vital to him as the air he breathes.
In Moscow, Kirill is compelled to pursue the mysterious and disturbing »Janis ».
They have nothing in common, their paths were not meant to cross, yet it seems they were destined for each other.
She will take him on a journey of discovery; but Laurent is consumed by the void left in him by the absence of his »work of art » and sets off for Moscow…
